For those of you who don't know it, Ben from Icelantic was manufacturing skiboards in the earlier days. From this foundation he created the Scout and his other boards. Wanting them to handle more like skiboards, than skis, he designed his various models. This is why we carry his full line of skis. At the Skiboards Superstore, we consider the Scout as a skiboard pushing the upper limits in length but still handling like skiboards.

The Scout is the Conceptual Flagship of Icelantic. This ski/skiboard embodies is ultra maneuverable, extremely stable and provides true high performance for intermediate to advanced riders. This go anywhere, do anything ski is great for fast backcountry laps, ripping untapped tree stashes, blasting through cruddy, sun-baked snow, or just charging the resorts with friends. The Scout’s signature stiffness, aggressive sidecut and totally unique shape come together in a fast, fun and explosive skiing experience. The Soft Flex is ideal for a variety of conditions including powder, hardpack and in between. While from a skier perspective, it may be considered only for lighter weight riders, I can personally attest to the great performance of these boards. If you like more flex in your skiboards, this is the one for you. If you like the stiffer boards that you can really work, go for the stiffer flex.

As all Icelantics, these have full wrap steel edges, sidewall contruction for greater torsional stiffness and stability at speed, symmetrical twin tips for riding forwards and backwards with ease. Custom designed top sheet by local Colorado artist and superior construction for a full length tip-to-tail smooth ride.

Can be mounted with any ski bindings or our Rossignol bindings. Also, can be used for ascent/backcountry skiboards with AT bindings and skins. A great tool for the deep stuff.
