Icelantic Shaman '08 AT Boards
This season Icelantic introduces their longest boards, the Shamans. At 161cm and 173cm, these boards definitely push the upper limits of length in the skiboarding world. Yes, designed by a skiboarder, these boards will ride like skiboards while handling any powder conditions the mountain can throw at you. With a super fat surface area and unique tapered design, these boards easily manage to maintain unprecedented power and control in the deepest snow. You can even keep an aggressive, forward stance without having the tips dive. Even with the length, the Shaman remains extremely maneuverable, but its 160cm tip rivals even the biggest powder skis in flotation and stability.
When the storm brews and your hunger grows, reach out to the one who foretold this day. Healer of woes and possesor of ancient secrets, the Shaman balances the rider's weight allowing forward, powerful powder turn unlike anything you have ever believed possible. Offered in 161cm and 173cm lengths, the Shaman provides excellent maneuverability while its 160mm tip rivals even the biggest powder skis in floatation and stability. So go ahead, shed your inner demons and put the Shaman to the test.
We chose to carry the Icelantic boards first because these were designed by a skiboarder. Beyond that, these boards were specifically designed to perform like longer skiboards, rather than like short skis. These are the answer for anyone seeking to take that next heli or snowcat trip in waist deep powder or even venture into the backcountry. The asymmetrical twin tip design makes for easy tricks in the parks, riding backwards or for screaming down the groomed runs.
