The Nomads are not your typical mass produced skiboards. With total attention to every detail during production, hand crafted one pair at a time right here in our home state of Colorado, using the highest quality materials available, these skiboards, along with our Custom 110, sets a higher standard for what was thought possible on skiboards.

Whether charging the steeps, hucking cliffs, flying in the parks or just having a fun day on the slopes, the Nomads, will inspire confidence and a thirst for more. Just think about turning and you are on edge, carving smooth turns down the slopes. With incredible edge hold even on ice, these skiboards will enable you to truly take your proficiency very quickly to the next level. The Nomad is constructed with a thicker than typical, full tip-to-tail laminated poplar wood core, carefully hand selected for quality performance and long-term durability. The wood core is sandwiched between two layers of high grade, triaxial fiberglass, selected for consistent performance and durability. Crafted with sidewall construction, the Nomad provides many advantages over cap construction. Among these advantages are increased torsional stability, greater edge protection, enhanced power transfer to the edges, improved vibration dampening, greater strength and a full length flex from tip to tail. Recommended for advanced to expert riders and for intermediate riders who are ready to take a quantum leap. Construction details: • Wood core: specially laminated, hand selected poplar wood core runs the full length of the skiboards, tip to tail. Using a thicker lamination than usual maintains the energy of the wood as well as providing greater durability and responsiveness. • Centered stance: 4 stainless steel inserts are centered within each skiboard, in a standard 40 X 40mm skiboard binding mount pattern. A centered stance gives you greater flexibility in customizing your preferred riding position. This also increases the retention strength of the bindings and allows for quick and accurate mounting, making it easy to interchange with other 4 hole pattern bindings. • 360 full wrap Rockwell carbon steel edges, protects your skiboards from those unexpected dings while providing superior edge grip. Edges are sand blasted prior to assembly to ensure a perfect, secure fit. • Wide Body Shape: a large skiboard surface area for maximum stability, floatation and speed. • Special rubber dampening is built in from tip to tail to further eliminate any potential for chatter at speed, providing a real smooth ride. • Symmetrical Twin-tips: Makes it easier to ride forwards as well as backwards (fakie). Excellent handling in the parks and pipes. Also, makes for the most perfect carves. • Sublimated, scratch resistant high gloss top sheet. • Graphite Sintered bases: This is one of the best base materials for durability, maximum wax absorption and speed. The p-tex base material is reinforced with 15% carbon and graphite. These bases have less friction and thus more speed as well as less vulnerability to abrasion and impacts. The Black graphite sintered bases are much easier to repair dings or gouges and bring them back to original looking condition. In contrast, printed bases are much more difficult to hide any repairs. Storage: Proper storage is important. Always wipe off excess moisture and store at moderate temperature exposed to fresh air. It is recommended to remove your skiboards from your skiboard bag for proper drying before storage. Tuning: All Summit Nomad 99cm skiboards come with factory wax, are fully tuned and ready to ride. We recommend using the Skiboards.com Tune kit to maintain your skiboards in optimal condition. For those of you who like to spin down the mountain, detuning edges is recommended. Recommended Bindings: Non-release: Bomber Elite Skiboard Bindings are recommended for those seeking maximum performance as the Elite bindings bring out the full potential of these skiboards. Note that these are non-release bindings. (4 hole mount) Extreme II bindings are a great, more affordable alternative with all aluminum construction including toe levers. (4 hole mount) Release bindings: Spruce Mountain Risers/C509 Bindings (4 hole mount). Tyrolia LD-12 Release Bindings allow full flex of the skiboards (come with free mounting). A note about the Nomad 99cm and Non-release bindings: While there are currently no specific guidelines or laws preventing the use of non-release bindings on skiboards even up to 140cm, the longer length skiboards when used with non-release bindings do increase the risk of injury. Should you choose to use non-release bindings with the Nomad, you do so at your own risk knowing full well that there is the chance of serious injury.
